A Little Bird Told Me

A Blue Wren is not always blue.

Apparently when a male
Wren is a non breeding male
it is the same colour as
the female, also known as
a Jenny Wren.

Blue Wrens were my Mothers
very favourite birds.

Why ?

Well her favourite colour was blue
and she just loved the delightful
sweet calls from such a
small little creature.

Superb Fairy Wrens by Natalie Jane Parker

My mum loved to sing,
and she loved to hear sweet
little birds singing in the garden
and to have Pansies and Violets
growing in her garden
delighted her heart no end.

Now I have Native Voilets growing in
my backyard along with a
Blue Wren garden statue
to remind me of my lovely
Mum every time I look out my window.
